About the Author

Anna Ohoiko is a Ukrainian language content creator, teacher, podcast host, and founder of UkrainianLessons.com. Her mission is to make learning Ukrainian easy, exciting, and accessible in any part of the world.

In 2016, Anna started the Ukrainian Lessons Podcast, which she designed as a step-by-step Ukrainian audio course for beginners. Since then, it has grown into a comprehensive language program for all levels. From 2017 to 2018, she taught Ukrainian at the University of Pennsylvania through the Fulbright program.

Today, Anna works from her home office in Sweden, bringing inspiring resources for learning Ukrainian out there to the world.

This phrasebook shows not only English and Ukrainian words, but also how the Ukrainian words appear using the Latin alphabet. This is very helpful in terms of the pronunciation of Ukrainian words, as the Ukrainian alphabet looks so different and is not intuitive to me as an English speaker. The book gives very practical words and phrases under various topics such as basic needs, using numbers, work and employment, food, clothing, and many more. It also provides links to an online podcast “UkranianLessons.com” which is extremely helpful. This has been a great resource for me in helping to support a Ukrainian family come to Canada!

How to access the audio?

Audio recordings in both ebook and softcover can be accessed in two ways: via links or QR-codes. After clicking the links or following QR-codes, you will be redirected to our website with audio for the particular chapter.

Can the phrasebook be used by a native Ukrainian to learn English?

It certainly can. Some customers told us they gifted our phrasebook to the Ukrainian refugees they are hosting, and they found it very useful. However, the book was created with foreigners learning Ukrainian in mind.

Can I buy in local currency?

You can pay with a credit card at any currency, but the price is in Euros, so some conversion fees are possible at the checkout (depending on your bank conversion rates). Also, the VAT is included in some countries (e.g., in the EU).

Can I get a refund?

We do not provide refunds for digital materials. However, you can return the printed book by it to us at your own cost. We will provide you the refund within 14 business days after receiving the book. Contact us here with your request for a return.
